DEBAK: A huge reticulated python measuring 15 feet long was removed from a house in Kampung Tuie last night (July 5).

Civil Defence Force (APM) Debak district officer Lt Nur Fikry Usop, who confirmed the case, said they received a distress call regarding the enormous reptile around 10.45 pm.

“Three members were deployed to the scene and the complainant showed them the spot where the python had taken refuge in the roof of his house.

“The team secured the area before proceeding to bring the reptile down and subdue it,” he said.

The python, renowned for its strength, proved to be formidable during the rescue operation

The reptile was later released back to its original habitat, far away from the village.

The team ended their operation around 11.40 pm.
