SPAOH: After nearly 15 years of singing, Adens Kundang’s dream of producing his first album was finally realised.

The crooner from Spaoh will release his debut solo album ‘Rapas’ in the local market next month.

“Little did I know that before the release of my debut album ‘Rapas’, which is due in October, my name has already become widely known on the social media and is already featured on local radio stations like Wai FM.

“So far, a song called ‘Rapas’ has been completed and four more are in the final stages,” he said when contacted by reporters yesterday.

Touching further on his debut album, Adens said his songs were of the pop ballad, ‘dangdut’ and duet genres.

Among the songs in the album are ‘Rapas’, ‘Nyadika Tenggau Aku’, ‘Penyayau Enda Nyangkai’, ‘Talukka Pengerindu Tua’ and ‘Badu Ngenang’.

The songwriting and video production took place in Sibu and around Betong.

“Among the composers who contributed their ideas to the album were Samuel Bayang and Barky Sagai.

“I am very grateful to both of them for working hard to make this album a success,” said Adens.

He added the album had its own strengths and many good as well as melancholic vibes.

“It tells the true story of life and love that was not fulfilled, describing a beautiful romance that did not turn out well when a third person arrived.

“For over 15 years, since 2005, I have been immersing myself in singing.

“With this debut album ‘Rapas’, my dream of being an Iban artiste has finally come to fruition and for me, the wait has been worth it,” he added.

Adens hopes that fans of the local Iban songs would support him by buying genuine albums instead of pirated copies.
