JPJ Sarawak and Sabah officers carrying out ‘Ops Lintas Batas’ along KM9, Jalan Trusan.

LAWAS: The Road Transport Departments (JPJ) of Sarawak and Sabah conducted a joint operation codenamed ‘Ops Lintas Batas’ along KM9, Jalan Trusan to strengthen their commitment to road safety and regulatory compliance.

According to the state department, the operation was held yesterday (Aug 16) involving a team of 18 personnel led by JPJ Sarawak operations section chief Saifullah Ali, JPJ Lawas chief Teresa Baru and JPJ Sabah operations unit officer Shamsalsinar.

Summonses were issued encompassing a spectrum of traffic offences. However, the exact number of summonses issued was not disclosed.

Among the offences detected were driving with expired commercial driving licences (CDL) and vehicle licences, lack of insurance coverage, overloading and not having CDLs.
