JTS wins gold award in maiden AIGA outing

PUTRAJAYA: The Sarawak Land and Survey Department (JTS) proudly took home the prestigious Gold Award at the recent Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA) 2023.

Organised by the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM), the ceremony, which was held at Putrajaya Corporation, saw the department honoured for its outstanding commitment to integrity and governance.

The Gold Award was presented by IIM Board Member Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Ali on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation.

JTS Director Datu Abdullah Julaihi accepted the award on behalf of the department.

This marks JTS’s first participation in the AIGA, and its recognition with the Gold Award underscores its dedication to fostering integrity and practicing good governance within the department.

Accompanying Abdullah at the event were key representatives, including Deputy Director of Management Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmood, Deputy Director of Operations Rozlan Putit, and Certified Integrity Officer Siti Romiza Romali.

AIGA 2023, now in its third edition, received a total of 154 entries from both government and private agencies.

Evaluation criteria for the prestigious award included the implementation of the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS), the organisation’s anti-corruption plan, and considerations regarding occupational safety and health.
