KAPIT: The local branch of Serakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) will be hosting a Kumang Gawai Dayak Kapit 2022 competition on May 21 at Town Square Kapit.
It is open to single native girls in Kapit ageed between 18-28.
According to Rose Kumbong, girls who are interested from Song District, Belaga, Kapit and Bukit Mabong are encouraged to get their entry forms from the Kumang Gawai organising committee.

The first qualifying round will be held on May 19 to pick the finalists and the finals will be held on May 21.
Rose said the wimnner for the Kumang will win a cash prize of RM2,500, crown, sash, trophy, hamper and a bouquet.
Other subsidiary title winners such as Lulong will win RM2,000 and Selinggar Matahari will bring home RM1,500 and consolation prize winners will win RM550, hamper and a bouquet.
