SERIAN: The Kedup constituency continues to be developed through the implementation of another three projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

The Serian Division Public Works Department (PWD) has handed over projects totalling RM550,000 to be implemented in Kampung Semukoi A, Kampung Sumpas, and Kampung Mayang Mawang.

The RTP project handover ceremony was witnessed by councillor Robin Augustine Kiek, representative of the Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development and Kedup assemblyman Datuk Martin Ben, recently.

The Kampung Semukoi A project costs RM200,000  to build concrete retaining walls for the village’s entrance road and to level the area in front of the longhouses.

The contractors are given a four-month period from February 22 to June 21 to complete the project.

Meanwhile, in Kampung Sumpas, RM150,000 has been allocated for the project to build an Operations Room for the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) within seven months.

The third project, valued at RM200,000 in Kampung Mayang Mawang, aims to upgrade the multipurpose hall, new wiring, and expanding the JKKK operations room within six months.
