KUCHING: In the spirit of goodwill, KFC has handed over monetary donations to several charitable homes here, Miri and Bintulu.

They are Kompleks Kebajikan Anak Yatim Bintulu, The Sunflower Centre, Rumah Amal Anak Kesayangan Kami, Rumah Seri Kenangan, PDK Sentuhan Kasih Kuching, Bengkel Seri Sarawak and Desa Bina Diri.

The donations came from the Tabung Penyayang KFC programme, a unique fund from collection boxes in every KFC restaurant in the nation that encourages customers to give to the underprivileged.

KFC has handed out donations to charitable homes every major festival such as Chinese New Year, Gawai, Hari Raya and Christmas.

In 2018, through the Tabung Penyayang programme, a total of RM70,000 was given out to 17 different charitable homes.

“Other than giving out monetary donations, we also hand out food donations to charitable homes throughout Malaysia, and not just Sarawak,” said Joey Siaw, senior manager of KFC Marketing in Sarawak, yesterday when handing over cheques to four representatives of the charitable homes.
