King, Queen convey condolences over death of four pilgrims

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today conveyed his condolences to the families of four Malaysian haj pilgrims who died while performing the pilgrimage in Makkah recently.

They were identified as Salinda Musni Salehan, 56; Mohd Zaini Md Esa, 60; Radzi Taib, 72; dan Bibi @ Hasbi Bujang, 74.

Also conveying her condolences was the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

In a post on Istana Negara’s Facebook page, Their Majesties expressed their sadness over the passing and hoped that the family members remained patient and strong during this difficult period.

“Their Majesties pray that the souls of the deceased be showered with mercy by Allah SWT and be placed among those who believe and do righteous deeds,” according to the post.

The first batch of Malaysian Haj pilgrims are scheduled to return home this Wednesday (July 5) and the final flight of a total of 98 flights is expected on July 31. – BERNAMA
