Konsortium Bumi goes overseas, inks MoU with India-based consultancy firm

KUCHING: Konsortium Bumi Consultants & Services Sdn Bhd has entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Intercontinental Consultants and Technocrats Pvt Ltd (ICT) from India.

Konsortium Bumi managing director Datuk Janang Bungsu stated that the strategic partnership will allow both parties to identify and jointly participate in infrastructure projects in various sectors.

He said the sectors include aviation and airports, highways, bridges, traffic and transportation, metro rail, and urban infrastructure in Malaysia as well as nearby countries.

“The MOU signing ceremony marks an important partnership and milestone for two well-established consulting firms from Sarawak and India respectively.

“ICT is a world leading and multidisciplinary consulting firm with more than 35 years of experience in providing comprehensive professional services for infrastructure development.

“They have successfully undertaken over 750 prestigious consultancy assignments under International Competitive Bidding in over 50 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, the Pacific and the Middle East,” he said.

He said this during the Konsortium Bumi’s 16th anniversary thanksgiving dinner at Imperial Hotel last night.

On Konsortium Bumi’s anniversary celebration, Janang said it is a matter of great pride to see the company grow, embracing good value, and achieving more than what was ever thought of.

“Our company has become a shining example amongst the leading organisations in Sarawak that has created quality income jobs in the city ever since its inception.

“I still remember how the company started with just six people and very limited resources in 2006 – starting from there until today, the company has come to a long and evolutionary journey,” he said.

Janang also expressed his gratitude to all employees who made it possible for the company to achieve numerous awards within the 16 years of hard work.

Among the awards are Anugerah Usahawan Bumiputera Sarawak 2015 (Anugerah Usahawan Berjaya Profesional); Sarawak Chief Minister’s Industry Excellence Awards 2017 (Medium Silver); ACEM Engineering Award Competition 2017; Anugerah Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (PSBS) 2018; Sarawak State Entrepreneur of the year Award 2018 (Master Entreprenuer); Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement in the 8th Sarawak Chief Minister’s Environmental Award 2017/2018 (Medium Enterprise – Services Sector); Sarawak Chief Minister’s Industry Excellence Award 2019 (Medium Category – Silver Winner).
