KUCHING: Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry secretary-general Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof conducted a field visit to Farley Supermarket at Jalan Penrissen, here today (May 29).
This visit marked the launch of the 2023 Festive Season Maximum Price Scheme (SHMMP) for the Gawai festive season.
Based on observations made, it was found that several items were being sold below the controlled prices, indicating the active participation and cooperation of both traders and the ministry in ensuring the successful implementation of the scheme.
The Maximum Price Scheme will be enforced for the Kaamatan Festival from May 27 to June 2 and for the Gawai Festival on May 29 to June 4.
