KUCHING: Kuching Toastmasters Club (KTMC) held its first Outdoor Meeting for the term 2016/17 recently.
Themed ‘Find Your Tribe’, the meeting focused on the community fostered by the Club, and in the spirit of the theme, was held at local creative hub HAUS KCH.
The meeting was attended by a good mix of current members and guests, who took the opportunity to mingle before the programme started over scrumptious sandwiches from NOMS On Street as well as delicious drinks from Ammo Supply Co.
A variety of speeches were presented that night, from veteran speakers doing their Advanced Manuals to guest speakers from other clubs.
Guests to the meeting also got a chance to try their hand at public speaking through the impromptu Table Topics session, where they pitted their wits against each other through mini-debates.
The next Kuching Toastmasters meeting, which will be an Advanced meeting, will be held on 30 April at Memoire Hotel.
Members of the public are invited to attend.
Registration begins at 7.15 pm, and a door fee of RM22 (inclusive of supper) will be charged.
