SIBU: Boston Ho, who is a lawyer by profession, has been elected as the president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Mandarin Sibu Chapter for the 2023 term during its 26th Annual General Meeting held here recently.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of president Alex Kong.

Respective reports of the current board were presented and approved by the members, as well as an election was held to elect the board of directors for the incoming year 2023.

Ho has been a youth member with JCI Mandarin Sibu since its incorporation in 1997 and officially joined JCI Mandarin Sibu as a member in 2008. He served as secretary-general in 2009 and vice-president this year respectively.

With his presidential theme, “Together, build a legacy”, he wishes to improve the current administration and management of JCI Mandarin Sibu and to execute meaningful projects that would benefit JCI members as well as the community in Sibu as a whole.

JCI Mandarin Sibu’s 2023 line-up also comprised secretary-general Gary Ling, honorary treasurer Alexander Ling, vice-presidents Ling Szu Howe, Christina Lau, Jonah Ting and Lucas Kong, general legal counsel Yek Chu Tiing as well as directors Desmond Ting, Raymond Lim, Simon Tiong, Ervina Ho, Jacky Chieng, Siew Chow Nguong, Clement Tie and Penny Su.

JCI is an international organisation dedicated to empowering youths to create positive change, and the only youth alliance institution of the United Nations.
