LED manufacturer gets invite to set up shop

HUIZHOU, CHINA: Sarawak has invited a leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor LED displays and screens here to consider the state as a potential location for overseas expansion.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan extended the invitation following a visit to Absen’s LED panel factory in Huizhou city.

Absen which was founded in 2001 and listed three years later has a presence in Japan, Russia, Germany, USA, Hong Kong and other countries.

The Sarawak delegation, which was led by Awang Tengah, was briefed about the company and its products whose usage and application are evident in large-sized displays, signages, advertisements and others.

An impressed Awang Tengah, who is also Second Minister of Urban Development and Natural Resources and Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment, welcomed Absen to consider Sarawak as its overseas expansion location for its products.

He said that Sarawak is strategically located in the region with easy access to Asian markets.
