KUCHING: Liberia’s national football player Abu Kamara (pic) has become the third import player to don the Kuching City Football Club (KCFC) team jersey in preparation for the 2022 Premier League campaign.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the 25-year-old former FK Makedonija club striker signed a contract with his new team at the KCFC office here on Thursday (Feb 3).

KCFC chairman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman expressed confidence that Abu’s presence would have a positive impact on the team’s efforts to compete in this year’s campaign.

“We are very happy that today, Abu Kamara has arrived in Kuching and signed a contract as an agreement to join the Kuching City FC this season.

“He has extensive experience although he is still young, especially when playing in Europe and from being Liberia’s national striker.

“I am very confident that he will have a positive impact on our team’s chances in competing this year,” he said in a press conference after the contract signing session.
