BETONG: Betong Fire and Rescue Station (Bomba) welcomes study tour programmes from schoolchildren and preschoolers as a platform to develop children’s interest in firefighting.

According to Betong Bomba operating officer PBK I Henry Jugah, the study tour would also expose the children on what to do in the event of an emergency.

“We are pleased to have 77 Tabika Kemas children and their 20 accompanying teachers with us here today (yesterday). Their (children) presence has also made the atmosphere at our station lively.

“During the visit, they learn about fire engines and other Bomba equipment as well as witnessing rescue demonstrations.

“What impresses us (firefighters) most is that some children have expressed their interest in being a firefighter,” he said.
