MA63 to be included in Swinburne’s law programme

KUCHING: Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is set to introduce a range of new courses and pathways, covering law, cybersecurity, data science, industrial design, and software engineering.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg revealed that the law programme will encompass Sarawak laws, including land law, Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and Native Customary Land (NCR) law, among others.

“Students will have the option to complete one-and-a-half-years of the programme at the Sarawak Campus before finishing the remaining duration at the main campus in Melbourne, Australia,” he said.

Abang Johari, who also serves as Pro-Chancellor of Swinburne Sarawak Campus said this during the Swinburne Sarawak Council 36th Meeting at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.

Also present at the meeting were Pro Vice-Chancellor and CEO of Swinburne Sarawak Professor Lau Hieng Ho and chairman of Board of Directors Datuk Amar Jaul Samion.
