MIRI: Slow internet connections or limited access from homes in Bekenu constituency will be a thing of the past.

On Friday, Bekenu assemblywoman, Datuk Rosey Yunus during a meeting held at Miri Resident’s Office urged Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) to improve internet connection in her constituency.

Also in attendance were village chiefs in Bekenu constituency.

“I want internet connection in every longhouse and village in Bekenu constituency to be better improved,” she pointed out.

These areas include those along the Miri Costal road from Kampung Terahad Bekenu up to Batu Niah.

She added, poor internet connection within the area had been haunting residents in her constituency.

“This problem needs to be resolved immediately, because the poor internet connection has caused frustration, and difficulties for school students in the area,” she said.

Also present at the meeting were Lambir assemblyman Dr Ripin Lamat and SMA general manager Dr Zaidi Razak.
