MIRI: A tragic two-car collision claimed the life of a 34-year-old man on Jalan Taman Tunku here last Saturday night.
According to Miri District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the other driver unharmed.
In a statement, Alexson revealed that preliminary investigation findings indicated that the accident occurred around 10 pm when the BMW X5 had come to a stop at a traffic light and was rear-ended by the Perodua Viva.
The collision resulted in severe damage to the front of the Perodua Viva, leading to the driver’s tragic demise.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
