Man found dead in front of condominium

PADAWAN: A local man was found dead in the parking lot of a condominium at Jalan Batu Kawa here this morning (Feb 9).

Padawan police chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said they received a report around 1.30am about an unconscious man in the middle of the road.

Police and paramedics were promptly deployed to the scene.

The 39-year-old is believed to have fallen from the upper level of the condominium based on the injuries he sustained.

“Paramedics confirmed the victim died at the scene. There were no signs of foul play.

“The body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital for a Covid-19 swab test and post-mortem,” Abang Zainal said.

He said police have classified the case as sudden death. Nevertheless investigation is ongoing.
