BINTULU: Police here picked up a man aged 33 on suspicion of drug abuse.
Bintulu OCPD Supt Batholomew Umpit said the suspect was arrested at Kampung Baru on Thursday (June 30) and he had in his possession 0.6g of amphetamine.
“We also conducted a urine test on the suspect and he was positive for amphetamine.
“The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952 for possession of drugs and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.”
Supt Batholomew urged the public to relay information of any criminal or drug activity in the district to the police at 086-318304.
