MIRI: A man was injured after the motorcycle he was riding rear-ended a car at Jalan Vista Perdana here yesterday morning.

In the incident that occurred at around 5.56am, the 57-year-old man sustained facial and arm injuries.

It was understood that the victim was heading towards Permyjaya when a Perodua Alza car travelling in front of him suddenly turned into a junction. This caused him to ram the rear of the car after he failed to avoid it.

An ambulance was called to the scene and the victim was briefly attended by paramedics before taking him to Miri Hospital for further treatment.

The car driver escaped unhurt in the incident.
