KUCHING: A 38-year-old man injured his legs after the 3-tonne lorry he was driving crashed into a 5-tonne lorry at Sungai Midin Bridge, Jalan Serian-Gedong yesterday morning.

The victim, identified as Japrin Sariee, was driving alone when the accident occurred around 8.30am.

Eight firefighters from Simunjan fire station were dispatched to the scene after they were notified of the incident at 8.34am. They were assisted by seven personnel from Serian fire station.

On arrival at the scene at 9.09am and the firefighters were told that several passers-by had pulled the victim out of the lorry and sent him to Serian Hospital for treatment.
