KUCHING: A 43-year-old man was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment by the Magistrate’s Court here on Monday (Feb 14) on a charge of possessing 3.17g of methamphetamine in November last year.
The accused, Wong Sin Wang pleaded guilty to the charge, which was read out by an interpreter before Magistrate Zaiton Anuar.
Wong, who is unemployed, was found in the possession of the drugs in a house at Batu Kawa here around 10pm on Nov 25 last year.
In another case, an unemployed man was fined RM2,000 in default four months’ imprisonment by the Magistrate’s Court here today for punching his sister and causing hurt to her.
Mohd Aliff Iman Abdilah, 23, pleaded guilty to the charge read to him before Magistrate Zubaidah Sharkawi.
