In the images posted by the user, the groom and his two brides could be seen celebrating their wedding ceremony together. The purported marriage has left Malaysian citizens questioning its legality.

While many congratulated the newly married trio, others have since taken to the post to simply question, can meh?

Aside from this, the post garnered comments from users who questioned the polygamy law governing marriages in Malaysia.

It is not confirmed if the man had actually married the two women at the same time, or if he legally married one woman while the other was an accomplice.

It is also not known if the man is a Muslim.

Some questioned whether it is lawful for an apparent non-Muslim man to marry two women at the same time.

The wedding reception also raised netizens’ suspicions of being fake.

One person said: “Are these people filming a drama? Marrying two wives cannot be possible. It’s not permissible under the law.”

According to the report by SinChew Sarawak, the groom operates a kolo mee stall at the Farley Mall food court.

Meanwhile several other viral posts suggested that one of the brides is a local Chinese while the other is an Indonesian woman.

It was also reported that neither of their parents attended the wedding banquet.
