KUCHING: A 40-year-old man was arrested by police after he was found in possession of drugs during a raid on a house in Sekama here at noon yesterday.
During the raid, police seized six packets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana and a packet of pills believed to be ecstasy from the suspect.
Police also seized 55 sticks of cigarette containing a mixture of tobacco and dried leaves believed to marijuana.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspect obtained his supply from an individual in Matang.
He was detained at Gita Police Station lockup for further investigation. Police are investigating the case under Section 39A and 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
