PADAWAN: A man was wounded in the head and hand in a fight with his neighbour who wielded a machete at Batu Kawa, here on Tuesday.

Padawan police chief Superintendent Aidil Bolhassan said the 42-year-old suspect had a fight with the victim and his family.

“It is a case of dissatisfaction as the suspect threw a pile of wood on the victim’s family land,” he explained in a statement issued yesterday.

Following the police report lodged by the victim’s family, the suspect was arrested around 9.15pm on the same day at his home in Jalan Sin San Tu.

Aidil added that the machete, measuring one foot long, was also seized after it was handed over by the suspect.

“He was taken to the Kota Sentosa Police Station for further action.”

The suspect has yet to admit to assaulting the victim with the machete but had claimed that he was punched by the victim and his family members.
