KUCHING: The World of Manga event encourages young people to express their creativity and appreciate various art forms, according to Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap.

Yap said that maintaining a balanced lifestyle is important but too much work or study without relaxation and other activities can make a person dull and bored.

He hoped that the event would encourage young people to participate more actively in their community. He highlighted the benefits of manga, which uses simple and entertaining storytelling to cover important topics like history, politics, and social issues. According to him, this approach helps educate readers while capturing their imagination.

By getting involved in community efforts, he said, the younger generation can contribute to Sarawak’s progress and development. Yap believed that engaged youths can raise awareness about issues that concern them, leading to better decisions by those in authority.

Yap called upon young people to bring their talent and vision to make a positive impact on the community.
