MARUDI: A man was arrested in Jalan Tapang, Long Lama in the wee hours of Friday (Feb 25) on suspicion of selling drugs.
Marudi OCPD DSP Mohd Ruslan Mat Kib said police carried out a raid on the suspect’s house around 3am.
A search on the suspect’s pick-up truck led to the seizure of 24 straw tubes and 16 plastic packets containing crystalline lumps believed to be syabu.
The drugs, weighing 17.11g, are worth RM1,700, and were seized as evidence together with the truck.
The suspect, who also tested positive for drugs, will be remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
