KUCHING: Kuching City South Council (MBKS) mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and political secretary to the Chief Minister Tan Kai made a courtesy call to Inland Revenue Board (IRB) Sarawak director Abang Ehsan Abang Abu Bakar.

The purpose of the visit was to relate the issue of trade licence renewal faced by the business community as they hoped that the waiting time to renew the trade license can be lessened.

During the courtesy call, Wee also appealed to Abang Ehsan to waive the penalty of those who failed to renew trade license on time.

Abang Ehsan also said the business community can schedule their appointment manually through the special counter at the IRB office to expedite the renewal time and the appointment can be made from Monday to Friday starting 8am.
