KUCHING: The organising committee of the Matang Warrior (Survival) Trail Run 2023 paid a courtesy call on Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah at his office in Batulmakmur II, Petra Jaya last Monday.
The delegation which was led by chief scout commissioner of Sarawak, Zainuddin Hamdan extended an invitation to the minister to grace the event on July 2 at Matang Camp here.
During the courtesy call, Abdul Karim said that his ministry would give full support to the event which will witness 875 participants taking part in 2km run, 5km run,10km run and 20km run.
The winners will also receive cash prizes.
Among those present during the courtesy call were Sarawak Scout Council deputy exco chairman Mohadi Mobin, Scout Association of Malaysia Sarawak Branch executive secretary Zasran Abdullah, Organising Committee chairman Lee Kong Shin and Sarawak Scout Council member Mohd Yusuf Long.
