SARATOK: The five ministries held by MPs from Sarawak augur well with the wishes of the state.

Additionally, assemblyman Kalaka Mohamad Duri said the appointment of Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof as Deputy Prime Minister not only made history, but is a recognition for the Borneo bloc to continue fighting for rights enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

“I am confident that the five representatives from Sarawak can play their respective roles according to the portfolios they hold,” he said today.

He explained that apart from Fadillah who is familiar with the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities, the appointment of Kapit MP Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi as Minister of Works is also in line with Sarawak’s aspirations.

“In line with the need to develop infrastructure more aggressively, Nanta’s appointment is very much welcome.”

Likewise, Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing as Minister of Tourism to boost the tourism industry in Sarawak and Malaysia.
