In terms of service improvement and innovation, Awang Tengah pointed out that the ministry had introduced various systems to elevate the quality of services provided.

He pointed out that in the last two years the ministry had successfully drafted and implemented numerous policies and guidelines such as the forest management certification policy, reduction of land premium for land titles issued within Resettlement Schemes and Kampung Extension Schemes as well as refund of excess land premium payment.
