BINTULU: A jogger who was reported missing on Friday evening during a charity run event held at Chung Hua 2, Jalan Tanjung Kidurong has been found alive yesterday morning.
The 74-year-old man identified as Kong Joon Chung was found at 9.45am.
He emerged from the very area he was reported missing from in less than 24 hours.
He was found by members of the public who joined in the search and rescue (SAR) operation with other rescue agencies.
Kong and his son took part at the event on Friday at about 5.30pm. Unfortunately, Kong was never to be seen passing the finish line, prompting the son and other participants to alert the authorities.
A SAR operation was immediately deployed involving eight firemen from Bintulu fire station and representatives from several other agencies.
