The victims are found safe by members of the search and rescue team.

BINTULU: Three individuals including two children who went missing in a jungle near Rh Semengat, Jalan Sangan, Tatau on Sunday, were found safe by search and rescue personnel yesterday morning.

Bintulu Fire Station chief, Di-Hatta Gobel, through a WhatsApp message said the victims Singal Ujeh, 55, Stayreon Ulik Gawan, 13, and Veronica Chermy Limas Senabong, 9, were found about 2 kilometres away from the longhouse at 9.16am.

He said the victims were taken to Tatau Health Clinic for medical checkup.

On Sunday, the victims, from Rumah Nigroi Ulu Anap, were believed to have left their longhouse at noon for a nearby jungle in search of jungle vegetables.

One of their relatives, known only as Kurina, lodged a report at Tatau Police Station at around 11.21pm after the trio failed to return home.

A search and rescue team, comprising firefighters, police, villagers and other government agencies, was deployed to the location to locate the victims the next morning.
