Friday Belik

SARATOK: Next year, Krian Assemblyman Friday Belik intends to boost infrastructure development through various existing and new initiatives such as projects under the Betong Divisional Development Agency (BDDA).

According to him, there is still a lot to be done to develop the rural areas here.

However, he said, the priority is definitely to provide, restore, improve and increase infrastructure and basic facilities needed by the people.

“Thus in 2023, we will further accelerate infrastructure development through various existing and new initiatives such as projects under the BDDA.

“We have submitted a list of infrastructure projects that will be implemented starting in 2023.

“This is our aspiration because, with the large, high-impact projects that will be implemented in Krian and other state constituencies in the Betong division, it is believed to help develop economic activities,” he said.

He said this when asked about his aspirations for 2023 here today (Dec 26).

Adding on, he said that such an effort will also provide job opportunities for the local community.

“So, this directly helps local economic growth, especially those who are affected by the impact of the global economic recession,” he said.

At the same time, Friday also shared that there are many bittersweet things he has experienced and learned ever since he was appointed as the people’s representative.

“I feel that there is still much to be learned and researched despite being in the political field for years.

“Looking at the demands of the local community has opened my heart and determination for me to provide the best service to them to ensure their fate and requests are met as best as possible.

“A lot has been channelled through allocations to overcome and solve every problem that the people faced,” he added.
