KUCHING: Democratic Action Party’s (DAP) Sarikei MP Wong Ling Biu is on the road to recovery after undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at Sibu Hospital since March.

His testimony was shared in a post on Malaysia Methodist Church, Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference’s website on Thursday (May 28).

In his testimony, Wong said that he had been in a coma for 42 days.

“I would have been gone. God woke me up. He saved my life, I’m fully awake —not paralysed or semi-paralysed,” he said.

“According to the doctors, the organs inside me were getting weaker and weaker when I was in coma. Finally, the kidney stopped functioning. I was on haemodialysis eight times when I was still in coma.

“God healed it. My kidney got back to normal. Hallelujah. That’s the greatness of God,” Wong said in his testimony.

In a Facebook post on Thursday (May 28), Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said that this was “neither personal victory nor a Sibu Hospital victory, but a Sarawak victory over Covid-19”.
