MRCS highlights dangers of using plastic containers

MIRI: The  Welfare, Health and  Community Sub-Committee of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) here visited two poor families at Tudan on Saturday.

During the visit, the team brought along stainless steel food containers to be distributed to the two families as part of the exercise to stress on the dangers of plastic containers.

These stainless-steel food containers were donated by a group of donors who wish to remain anonymous.

Sub-Committee chairman, Dr Uma Devi gave a short talk to the families on the dangers of plastics  and importance of cleanliness and healthy food.

Miri City Council’s Roslan Ali also told them about the services provided by the  council and on how to highlight issues to it.
