Murder suspect to appear in Sri Aman court today

KUCHING: State CID chief SAC Dato’ Dev Kumar confirmed that the husband of a housewife who is suspected of murder will be produced in the Sri Aman Magistrate’s Court for mention at 2.30 pm today (16 March).

Dev said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the

Penal Code which carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction.

On March 3, the head of a the housewife aged 31 who was from the People’s Republic of China was found near Sungai Batang Lupar, Skait, Sri Aman.

Her body was not found and her husband was arrested for causing her death.

The couple had two young children and had moved from Sibu to Sri Aman in 2011. The husband is a pharmacist.

The woman’s head had been taken recently to Sarawak General Hospital’s morgue for another post mortem.
