KUCHING: The Registrar of Societies (ROS) says Budget 2022 has approved an allocation to the Malaysian Incentive Community Empowerment Programme (MyICE), giving a grant of up to RM10,000 to 2,000 organisations.

These organisations are all registered with the ROS in the Welfare, Social, Security and Human Rights category.

According to Sarawak ROS director Georgina Apphia Ngiau on Wednesday (Feb 23), the MyICE programme began in 2013 to motivate and strengthen the roles of the organisations.

“Up till 2019, ROS has succeeded in handing over a sum of RM79.9mil to more than 8,146 organisations.”

Georgina also said the MyICE applications could be made from Feb 1 until May 31 this year.
