The launching of GPS logo gives members of the coalition a new confidence.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said as far as the coalition members are concerned, the symbol represents a unity of purpose.

She said through GPS, as represented by the coalition’s symbol, component members namely PBB, PRS, SUPP and PDP can act and speak as a single entity to protect Sarawak’s rights under MA63, the federal constitution and the state constitution.

Fatimah who is also GPS Women chief said as far as the women are concerned “it is our responsibility and the responsibility of the Youth wing to work as a team with the main committee”.

“Together, we will work as a team and with all the component parties in GPS, go on the ground and create awareness as to what the logo represents and why it is important to the coalition and the people,” she said when met by reporters after the launching event yesterday.

Fatimah said the PBB Women supreme council meeting on Jan 19 will discuss comprehensively what the movement will do to promote GPS among the people.

“Our main agenda is to explain and inform on the way forward and what we in GPS are fighting for.

“And, of course, we definitely want to make sure we get the support of the people by getting them to see that GPS is here to protect Sarawak’s rights and the rights of Sarawakians,” she stressed.
