KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded a further drop in the number of new daily Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, to 4,949, compared with 5,304 reported yesterday.
Health director-general, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, via his Twitter post, said that the development brings the cumulative number of cases to 662,457.
He said that Selangor remained the state with the highest number of daily cases with 1,523, followed by Sarawak (744), Kuala Lumpur (503), Johor (430) and Negeri Sembilan (323).
Apart from that, Sabah recorded 273 cases, Penang (214), Kelantan (214), Kedah (199), Perak (136), Melaka (119), Labuan (113), Terengganu (86), Pahang (61), Putrajaya (10) and Perlis (one). – Bernama
