MIRI: The newly completed health clinic, located next to Miri Hospital here, will begin operations on January 2 next year.
Miri Divisional Family Medicine head Dr Maurice Steve Utap said that 12 types of services will be offered at the clinic.
“Among the services include outpatient treatment, emergency treatment, maternal, infant, and child healthcare, women’s healthcare, and family planning. Besides that, it also includes nutritional counselling, pharmacy, X-rays, laboratories, rehabilitation, and dental clinics,” he said.
Meanwhile, the clinic building consists of two floors. The first floor houses the registration, maternal and child clinics, emergency unit, outpatient clinic, laboratories, and radiology units. The second floor accommodates administration, meeting rooms, health education units, rehabilitation units, dental clinics, and prayer rooms.
The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and remains closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
