“This is our hope so that parents can work with ease and at the same time empower women in the state of Sarawak,” she said.

She said this when met by reporters after visiting the Rumah IQ Cerdik Desa Ilmu Samarahan Daycare Centre here today (Feb 8).

She stressed that the visit aimed to continuously monitor the handling of TTK while seeking efforts to improve the initiative to ensure its efficiency.

“TTK is a support system that greatly helps working parents; if we look at the children here, all their parents are working.

“So for me, TTK is a support system that is very helpful, especially to working parents.

“Thank you to TTK operators because with TTK like this, parents can work peacefully,” she said.

As of December 2023, she said, there were 20 TTKs throughout Sarawak consisting of 11 under Sedidik, eight private, and one under BPPMIS.

The existence of TTK reduces parents’ concerns about the safety of their children while they are working.

This helps parents to focus more on work and indirectly contributes to the productivity and quality of agency service delivery.
