“With this new building, I hope to be able to provide better services to the people, especially the voters in the Lanang area,” she said when declaring open the Lanang Parliamentary Service Centre today.

She said that the building belonged to her father, Datuk Lau Cheng Kiong who is currently the chairman of Sibu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Accordingly, she thanked his father for allowing her to use the building for her new service centre.

“Actually, this service centre has been operating since six months ago, but we had to postpone the opening ceremony until today due to a tight schedule,” she said.
