KUCHING: The Sarawak Football Association (FAS) secretary general, Razali Dolhan (pic) was disappointed with the decision of young defender Rodney Celvin Akwensivie, 22, to join the Selangor PKNS team next season.

The decision was taken after the player from Kampung Rayang, Serian had already signed an offer letter from the FAS earlier. He described the decision made by Rodney Celvin Akwensivie or popular among his colleagues as ‘Bonai’ was unprofessional.

“Bonai has signed an offer letter that FAS has given earlier and indirectly indicated that he agreed to stay with the Sarawak squad. “However, he made a reverse decision and it is clear that this is an unprofessional act,” Razali said recently.

According to Razali, his side could have tolerated his decision it had Bonai forwarded a letter to the FAS to reject the offer. Razali said he did not receive any feedback as described from Bonai. “In such a situation the FAS can withhold Bonai’s transfer certificate and make it unlikely for him to play in the Malaysia League 2018 campaign,” added Razali.
