MIRI: A pedestrian sustained head injuries after he was hit by a car at Jalan Miri-Bintulu here last Wednesday night.
The incident took place at around 10.00pm when the man in his 40s, believed to be intoxicated, was heading home after having a drinking session with his friends.
The victim was believed to have suddenly run across the road and hit by a car after the driver failed to avoid him.
“As a result of the accident, the victim sustained head injuries. He was later taken to Miri Hospital for treatment,” sources said, adding that the car driver lodged a report on the incident at Miri Traffic Police Station.
