KUCHING: More than 500 guests were mesmerised by the great talent of Penan students from Teachers Education Institute (IPG) Batu Lintang Campus singing Despacito song in Penan Language at Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce (TAZA) Auditorium here, last Wednesday night.

“The IPG Campus Batu Lintang takes this opportunity by giving a new impact in the art of culture by bringing music innovation into each individual,” said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

“The Penan community was once known only as a community living in their own group and living far in the woods but today we see for ourselves how the Penan students are very talented and change their old identity.

“I believe these are Penan youths who will be the best examples of their community,” said Uggah in speech text which was read by State Science and Research Advisor Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang at the ‘Music Innovation Arts and Cultural Night’ here.
