BINTULU: November 4 will hold a special place in the memory of couple, Nur Saffiyah Shaffiee and Muhammad Syarafuddin Ashmaidi.

This is because it coincided with both their wedding ceremony and the day of the Jepak state by-election.

Despite their wedding commitments, Nur Saffiyah, 27, remained committed to fulfilling her duty as a voter.

“We cannot forget this date, especially when it comes to future election days.

“Thankfully, even amidst the wedding celebrations, I managed to find the time to cast my vote,” she said after casting her ballot at SK Kampung Baru here on Saturday (Nov 4).

She expressed hope that the elected candidate will be attentive to the concerns of the community in the Jepak constituency and effectively address the issues faced by the residents.

Muhammad Syarafuddin and Nur Saffiyah solemnised their marriage on Friday (Nov 3).
