KUCHING: Sarawak’s good economic policies continue to attract outsiders to look into the state for potential investments.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said a delegation from Germany will be visiting the state next week.

“I can share with you that a lot of people are coming here. A delegation from Germany is coming next week to see the potential of Sarawak.

“Actually they are supposed to go to one industrial state which I don’t want to mention. But they opted to come to Sarawak.

“It is the number one person from Germany. So we become the host,” he said.

He said this during the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) Chinese New Year (CNY) dinner at Imperial Hotel on Friday (Feb 10).

Abang Johari, who is also the Finance and New Economy Minister said the delegates want to know more about Sarawak’s potential because of the state’s move towards green energy and the economic policies which are based on hydrogen economy.
