MIRI: The Painted Cave in Niah National Park here is temporarily closed for visiting until further notice.
According to a notice posted on Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) Facebook wall last Thursday, the Painted Cave is currently inaccessible due to damaged plankwalks.
“Our team is actively working on repairing the walkways, but the progress is subject to the current water level under the plankwalk.
“As a precautionary measure, Painted Cave will be closed for visiting until further notice,” the corporation said.
SFC said that the safety of the visitors is their top priority and do appreciate visitors’ understanding and cooperation during this time.
“Regular updates on the status of the repairs and the reopening of Painted Cave will be provided through our official communication channels,” it added.
